Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies BilloraPay uses, what each category is for, who sets them, and how you can change your choice at any time. It is maintained by the BilloraPay team and sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember information between page views — for example, that you are signed in, or that you prefer the dark theme. Similar technologies such as localStorage work the same way for the purposes of this policy, and we treat them identically.

2. Essential cookies (always on)

These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other websites.

  • Authentication — keeps you signed in to your BilloraPay workspace between page loads (set by our authentication provider, Supabase).
  • Theme preference — remembers whether you chose the light or dark interface.
  • Cookie choice — stores the decision you make in the cookie banner so we do not ask you again on every page.

3. Analytics cookies (only with consent)

We measure aggregate traffic — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and which tools are used — so we know what to write and build next. These measurements are stored in aggregate and are not used to build an advertising profile of you. If you reject non-essential cookies, no analytics cookies are set.

4. Advertising cookies — Google AdSense (only with consent)

BilloraPay is free to use and is funded in part by advertising. When you accept, we load Google AdSense, and Google plus its partner vendors may set cookies to serve and measure ads.

If you reject non-essential cookies, the AdSense script is not loaded at all on your visit. We also never show ads on sign-in, dashboard, admin or password-reset screens.

5. Changing your choice

You can change your decision at any time — your previous answer is cleared and the banner appears again.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all offer per-site controls). Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and may break parts of the app.
